As a kid, for some reason I can't remember I collected a handful of these Big Daddy Ed Roth Rat Fink rings. 5 of them survived my childhood, going away to college, my mother throwing away all my favorite toys the second I stepped out of the door, moving to California for 27 years, then moving to Bloomington, Illinois for the last 9 years. 5 survived in my junk box that accompanied me to all those locations.

Several months ago, I was looking through that box and found them. I still can't remember why they were so important to me. But I started to pick up the odd one here and there on Ebay. And sooner than later, given my current creative skills which fill my Etsy shop, I had this notion that I wanted to recreate the original box to the best of my abilities and then fill it with the required 36 Rat Fink Rings. As you can see from the pics, I have done that and more.

If you have any of these from your childhood, or would like to begin a collection or simply think that this box is just a really cool kitschy weird box for your various chachkies, here's your chance to own one. The size of the box is 8.25 x 6 x 3. It is built to contain 36 rat finks in their packaging. The larger box that you see in the first picture was MY MISTAKE. You know the adage, "measure twice and cut once?" Well, I calculated once and printed once. I screwed up on the measurements so the first one out of the printer was this behemoth that could probably contain 136 Rat Fink Rings. If you'd like a bigger one just ask before ordering.

I know, weird, right? What can I say, it inspires me and now the full box of Finks sits on a shelf in my office reminding me every time I look at it that I once thought these were the bomb and escaped the dreaded concept of the "stuff my mom threw away."

If you have any questions, comments, or the number of a good therapist, don't hesitate to convo me.

Your friendly neighborhood Creative Pal.
