Lovely, 1963 Ideal Pepper doll, adorable! This doll’s name is Pepper, she is the little sister of Tammy. An Ideal Toy Corp. competitor to Mattel’s Barbie. Fantastic bubble cut hair-do, she has freckles, blue side glancing eyes and pale pink lips. Decked out in a southwestern cowgirl outfit, featuring a fringed leather skirt and vest, complete with a silver stud. Red cowgirl shirt and bright green neck bow. She is wearing matching red boot-like socks and white lace panties. I think her outfit may be hand made as it appears to be sewn together around her. No snaps or ties. This blonde doll is ready for display.
Pepper stands about 9” tall. Her outfit is clean and free of spots and tears. Pepper's facial coloring is bright with a few tiny marks from play. She could use a face wash. Her bubble cut hair style is period perfect with no plugs missing. Her legs are not bendable, but that was common. She bends at the waist but not at the knees. In all, she is in terrific condition for a gal her age. The back of Pepper's head reads "Ideal Toy Corp. 69-E."
