This is one of the most unique, highly styled 1970's double knit sport coat I've encountered in my years of collecting, stunning! Although I can't find any labels or marking identifying this as a double knit sport coat I'm 99% sure it's the real deal based on the touch of the fabric, soft and supple.
This Cortefiel Made In Spain Navy Blue Blazer is loaded with one of a kind styling features. Marked a size 42 it features leather trim flap button pockets (with pleats!) and button holes, a belted and pleated back, brass buttons marked "Lodovicus Plures Non Capir Orris" which I believe translates as "There Is No Room In The World For More Than One King Ludwig" based on my research, wide lapels and a fantastic gold rayon full lining! You can't get more genuine 1970's then this sport coat and amazingly, it doesn't look all that dated, just very sharp! The only flaws worth mentioning, the pictured small wear mark on the tip of the left lapel and tiny hole (hidden by that same lapel actually!) in the left shoulder.
A little background on Cortefiel, check out www.brandsofspain.com/brand/cortefiel-2/ they are a major Spanish clothing noted for their quality and style, both then and now!
Looking for a really special blue blazer to spice up your look you just found what you've been searching for! Sharp with a turtleneck or polo, devastating with a shirt and tie vintage of course!
