Navajo Native American Sterling Silver Turquoise Leaf or Feather Brooch/Pin Signed "RF" by WesternTradingPost

29.50 USD

Simple, yet elegant, Navajo handmade sterling silver with turquoise leaf or feather brooch/pin. Artist signed "RF". The turquoise is very clear and blue, probably from the Sleeping Beauty mine. Both the leaf and feather symbol are important to Native American cultures: the leaf symbolizes wealth, life, growth; the feather were symbols of prayers, sources of ideas or marks of honor; sacred universal symbol of flight within the spirit world and serving as messenger to Great Spirits.

This piece could be worn as a pendant by using a brooch converter sold in many shops on Etsy, but not included here.

The brooch measures almost 2" across.
Hallmarked "Sterling" &"RF". I tried to find the artist associated with that hallmark with no luck. Could be one of the Francisco family.
Condition is very good. There are some slight scratches and/or toning issues on the piece, but barely noticeable.

Please consider that vintage and estate items may have some wear or slight imperfections. Note that this brooch may have been loved and worn by others so it should be expected that this brooch may not be flawless. I try my best to find condition issues and point them out, but sometimes things get overlooked. Please feel free to ask questions prior to bidding or buying. I want you to buy with confidence and not regrets.
