This handsome porcelain decanter depicts a 1790 Irish "Brigade Austrian Soldier." The base is marked Coronetti Cunardo Italy. This comes with it's original book that tell the story of Irish Mist Liqueur. His colors are still nice and bright with just a few scratches in the glaze. I originally thought there was significant gold missing from the rope on his sword though upon looking at other bottles, This is what they all look like. No cracks but some crazing on the base. Also the base of this ones appears to have some blue & brown marbling/staining. Please see all pictures for details. This bottle was made in different sizes, this one is the impressively tall 19" bottle. There is no longer a cork for this bottle though he does still have part of his original seal sticker. The sticker that tells what kind of soldier he is, is taped on but still in tact. He is a fun item for anyone who collects decanters or military collectors.
