This is a beautiful vintage dress from the circa 1930s! The heavily gathered neckline and sleeves both have elastic sewn in, so they won't lose shape. The waist is accentuated with a wide, flat panel of fabric and narrow ties that tie in the back. There is a zipper up the side, and the inside of the sleeves are lined in cotton. There is some light discoloration on the skirt, and a small mended spot on the back waist that is covered by the ties; neither are very noticeable. The skirt is made of five panels and each is gathered onto the the next, creating a lovely full skirt. There is a sort of fairy-tale elegance about this gown which calls to mind Snow White, and it would be wonderful for a costume or romantic evening out!
