This is a small group of three antique Victorian celluloid (very early plastic) toys: a large fish or whale, a small begging dog on a pedestal, and a little fish that is a bit later (1920s?) and probably from a magnetic fishing game. The large fish has some damage as you can see in the photos - holes on either side (perhaps he was on wheels originally?) and a gash across the top of his mouth. The little dog and small fish are without damage. It's amazing anything in this delicate material survived as children's playthings, and then 100 years further - it's very very thin moulded celluloid. Colours are good on the large fish, but with a few of his red spots missing - you can see where they used to be. The large fish is 13cm long by 3cm high and is marked "Made in USA" on the tail. The little dog is 2.5cm by 3cm high and the small fish is 3cm long. Neither the dog nor the fish have maker's marks. Price is for the group!
