Here we have an absolutely gorgeous pair of souvenir shoes from the Philippines, featuring a carved wooden heel with a tropical scene. These shoes were a common souvenir brought home by American soldiers to give to their sweethearts after World War II.

These sandals feature a black velvet strap and vamp that has been embroidered with yellow flowers and white leaves. The insole is painted with flowers and says "Philippines." But the real star of the show is the wonderful carved and painted wood heel depicting a lovely tropical scene of palm trees and straw huts.

Please note: The straps on these have been broken, so these are intended for repair or display purposes only.

Condition:
Fair

As noted, the straps are broken and will need to be fixed prior to wear. Wood does have some scratches and nicks here and there. Some fraying of the straps and vamp. Some paint loss, but colors are still vibrant.

Measurements:
Insole: 9.5"
Heel height: 2.75:
Across ball of foot: 2.75"
