This is a great old tin typewriter made by the Marx Toy Co., in very good condition. Beautiful glossy black finish, with glossy red and creamy ivory accents.
Handsome keyboard is pretend, with the actual typing happening via the spinning dial. The inking mechanism (located behind the spinning dial) has long since dried up. The dial and pressing mechanics are fully functional, as are the space bar and paper feeder roll.
Very light wear. No rust or patina.
Would make a great display, staging, décor or prop piece… and a wonderful addition to any toy collection. Also the perfect gift for an aspiring writer, editor or blogger!
